PEDICULOSIS/HEAD LICE

The York Catholic District School Board recognizes concerns related to pediculosis (head lice) at the school and community level. Pediculosis (head lice) are not a public hazard, as they do not cause illness, but they are a nuisance. SAFE ARRIVAL

It is imperative that the Student Absence reporting number is called BEFORE 8:50AM for the current day if your child will be absent.  Please call 1-855-856-7862 or visit go.schoolmessenger.ca before the bell rings on the day of your child’s absence.  Planned absences can be reported in advance.

RECESS SAFETY

Each division has a designated area where they can interact with their peers in a safe and socially appropriate way.  Students in grade 4-8 may play soccer on their half of the field. Footballs are banned. Basketballs can be used on the pavement.  Primary students can use soft soccer balls on the pavement.
