On Remembrance Day, November 11th, a moving Liturgy of the Word was led and organized by our Grade 7/8 students and their teacher, Ms. Larson. The students of Pope Francis honoured the contribution and sacrifice of generations of Canadian soldiers to our country, including their peacekeeping efforts all over the world.

Pope Francis Catholic School will be having its official school blessing on Wednesday, April 19th at 7:00 pm. Among our honoured guests will be Bishop Wayne Kirkpatrick, the Chair of the YCDSB Carol Cotton, our Director of Education Patricia Preston, and representatives of the City of Vaughan. Parents, students, school staff and officials from the York Catholic District School Board marked the opening of York Catholic’s newest school, Pope Francis Catholic Elementary School, on September 6, 2016 with a prayer, and brief flag-raising and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
