Pope Francis Solemn Blessing and Official Opening

The Pope Francis Catholic Elementary School Community celebrated its Solemn Blessing and Official Opening on Wednesday April 19th, 2017.  The Solemn Blessing was led by Bishop Wayne Kirkpatrick, who was assisted by our Pastor, Monsignor Greg Ace from St. Padre Pio Church.

Our Girls are Champions!

Congratulations to our Girls’ Intermediate Basketball Team who recently competed at St. Anne’s School at their Area Tournament and became our school’s first ever champions!  Pope Francis was grouped with 4 other schools: Corpus Christi (28-8), St. Anne (21-10), St. Mary Immaculate (17-16), and Father John Kelly (18-8).  Our girls were undefeated!  They next will compete at a board-level tournament on March 29th.  Good luck, ... We are the Cardinals!

Our students and families were recently asked to choose from among the three final choices for a school nickname for the Pope Francis sports teams: The Falcons, the Eagles, and the Cardinals.  After all votes were counted, the winning name was—the CARDINALS!  Thank you to all our students and their families for participating in this fun task!  Given that Pope Francis was also a Cardinal, ...
