It is a tremendous honour to be the founding principal of a school named after our Pope, Pope Francis. Pope Francis is universally admired for his humility, his dedicated service to the poor and vulnerable, and for his concern for the preservation of God’s greatest gift to us – our Earth. Our students will be taught to put into action the teachings of our Pope, in the hope that together, we make our world a better place for all.
Pope Francis’ message of mercy and charity resonates with today’s students and our entire learning community. Pope Francis’ words speak directly to the core of who we are as Catholic school system and he is a wonderful role model for our students. As we journey through this school year, there will be many opportunities to learn about Pope Francis’ teachings and mission. It is through these opportunities that our students learn about our Savior, Jesus, and what he taught us about living faith-filled and service-based lives.
